2020 UNCF/Mellon Teaching and Learning Institute

In December 2020, Tuskegee University’s Legacy Museum collaborated with Yale University Conservation staff to host the 2020 UNCF/Mellon Teaching and Learning Institute. This year’s theme is; Black Lives Matter through the Lens of Technical Art History. Students learned the basis of principles of preservation, technical art history, and safeguarding objects against deterioration. Students also virtually examined the art and artifacts of the current Black Lives Matter Movements.
