A two-day intensive, which allows HBCU students to present and participate in the pre-session of the AIC conference, investigate the conserved John Biggers’ mural, learn about the conservation involved in some of the murals on the campus of Texas Southern University (TSU) and be informed about their impact in and on the campus community.

Goals: To provide students with the opportunity to attend and present at a professional conference; learn from a conservator about a project of interest; and hear from a TSU alumna about the impact and importance of the murals on TSU’s campus and their conservation needs.
